Venezuela: The top prosecutor in Venezuela accused several top opposition figures of treason and ordered their arrest yesterday. Attorney General Tarek William Saab said the accused figures had received money from ExxonMobil to sabotage a government referendum this past Sunday regarding Essequibo, an oil-rich region in Guyana over which Venezuela has recently ramped up its longstanding territorial claims.
