Azzedine Layachi
Azzedine Layachi is a professor of political science at St. John’s University, where he teaches politics of the Middle East and North Africa among other subjects. He received a doctorate and master’s degree in political science from New York University and a bachelor’s degree from the Institut des Etudes Politiques of the University of Algiers, Algeria. He is the author of several books, including “The United States and North Africa: A Cognitive Approach to Foreign Policy”; “Economic Crisis and Political Change in North Africa”; “Global Studies: The Middle East”; and “State, Society and Democracy in Morocco: The Limits of Associative Life.”
