Cornelia Tremann is a freelance writer, analyst and consultant currently based in Libreville, Gabon. Prior to Gabon, she lived and worked in Senegal and Madagascar. Her doctoral work focused on the social, political and economic impacts of Chinese engagements in Madagascar. Her current research interests include the politics of development, private sector development issues, China-Africa relations and China-U.S. relations in Africa.
