Hannes Cerny, a visiting professor at the Department of International Relations at the Central European University in Budapest, is the author of “Iraqi Kurdistan, the PKK and International Relations: Theory and Ethnic Conflict,” which analyzes inner-Kurdish dynamics in Iraqi Kurdistan, Turkey and Syria from the 1980s to the present. He previously taught at the University of Hull, the University of Exeter and the University of Passau. His research focuses on issues of identity and sovereignty and their representation in international relations scholarship.
