Hope Bastian is an assistant professor of anthropology at Wheaton College in Massachusetts and author of “Everyday Adjustments in Havana: Economic Reforms, Mobility and Emerging Inequalities.” She is working on an edited volume of essays about economics, politics and social change in contemporary Cuba due out in mid-2023 from Rowan and Littlefield.
