Iyad Dakka is a fellow with the Center for Modern Turkish Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, where he is also completing his doctorate in international security and conflict studies. He has a decade of professional experience in the Canadian federal government, providing analysis and policy advice to senior officials on a variety of international security issues. Dakka has been featured as an expert presenter at a variety of international conferences and works regularly with stakeholders on identifying and mitigating macro-level risks in the Middle East.
