John Waggoner has worked as a foreign correspondent in Latin America for over ten years. A graduate of Vassar College, he was the executive editor of the Brazilian Post, Brazil’s first full-color English language daily. His work on finance, politics and international affairs has appeared in news wires such as Dow Jones, Bridge News, and Reuters, and magazines such as Global Finance and Institutional Investor. In 2006 he was awarded an honorary citizenship title in the state of Paraíba, Brazil. He is based in Rio de Janeiro.
