Kayla Stewart is a graduate student at New York University pursuing a joint master’s degree in journalism and international relations. She is also the deputy editor of the Journal of Political Inquiry and the communications coordinator at the Research Alliance for NYC Schools. Her work has appeared in Upworthy, GOOD Magazine, Latino USA, Zora and Heated.
