Lindsay Fendt is a freelance reporter and photographer focused on the environment and human rights. For the past five years, she has been covering the rise of murders of environmental activists worldwide. She was awarded the Scripps Fellowship in Environmental Journalism in 2017. Her work has been published in The Guardian, U.S. News & World Report, Univision, Al Jazeera and Vice News, among other outlets. She is a former staff writer and photographer for The Tico Times in San José, Costa Rica.
