Matthew D. Cebul is the lead researcher for the U.S. Institute of Peace’s Program on Nonviolent Action, where he conducts research on the dynamics of nonviolent action and external support for nonviolent movements. He received his doctorate in political science from Yale University and holds a bachelor’s degree from Haverford College.
