Michael Clarke is adjunct professor at the Australia-China Relations Institute, at the University of Technology Sydney. His research is primarily focused on Chinese foreign and security policy, American grand strategy and Asia-Pacific geopolitics. He is the author of “American Grand Strategy and National Security: The Dilemmas of Primacy and Decline from the Founding to Trump” (Palgrave 2021) and editor of “The Xinjiang Emergency: Exploring the Causes and Consequences of China’s Mass Detention of Uyghurs” (Manchester University Press, 2022).
