Michael J. Mazarr is a senior political scientist with the RAND Corporation. Prior to RAND, he was a professor and associate dean of academics at the U.S. National War College. He has also worked in research institutes, on Capitol Hill, and as a special assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Mazarr holds a Ph.D. in public policy from the University of Maryland.
