Oren Samet is a researcher and political analyst focused on democracy and human rights issues in Southeast Asia. His writing has appeared in Foreign Policy, Slate, Pacific Standard, New America Weekly and other publications. He was previously a junior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
