Richard M. Sanders is a global fellow of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. As a member of the Senior Foreign Service of the U.S. State Department, he served in Spain and throughout Latin America, as well as in the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs in Washington.
