Richard Moncrieff is the Central Africa project director for International Crisis Group, the independent conflict-prevention organization, where he oversees all of its work on Central Africa. He previously worked for the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office as the principal research analyst on West and then Central Africa, and head of the Africa Research Group. He worked as a diplomat in Paris, in 2003, and in Abidjan, from 2005 to 2006, and has traveled and worked extensively throughout the African continent.
