Roland Flamini was the Washington-based chief international correspondent at United Press International from 2000 to 2006.From 1968 to 1994, he was a foreign correspondent and World Section editor for Time magazine. During that time he was bureau chief in Rome, Bonn, Paris, Lebanon, and Jerusalem, and covered the European community from London.He is now a foreign policy columnist for CQ Weekly, and also a regular contributor on arts and culture for Town & Country magazine, Architectural Digest, WashingtonLife, and other publications.He is working on his eighth non-fiction book, a biography of Edmond Charles Genet.
