Sanjoy Chakravorty is professor of geography and urban studies at Temple University. He has authored several books on Indian development, including “Made in India: The Economic Geography and Political Economy of Industrialization” (with Somik Lall); and “The Price of Land: Acquisition, Conflict, Consequence.” He has two upcoming books: “The Other One Percent: Indians in America” (co-authored with Devesh Kapur and Nirvikar Singh); and “The Truth About Us: India Invented, India Unknown.”
