Saskia Brechenmacher is a doctoral candidate and Gates Cambridge scholar at the University of Cambridge, and a fellow in the Democracy, Conflict and Governance program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Her research focuses on democracy, gender equality and women’s political mobilization.
